The Directorate of Technical Education, under the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh, has successfully launched a major training program titled “Institution Supported & Feedback Oriented Advanced Pedagogy TVET”, organized by the TVE Department at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in collaboration with the Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation (ASSET) project. This training programme is funded by the World Bank. The program was officially launched on 27th September 2024 and marks the beginning of a year-long effort to enhance technical education and training in Bangladesh. With Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Vice Chancellor of IUT, serving as the chief patron, the project is being led by Prof. Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain Khan and Prof. Dr. Md Abdullah Al Mamun as the Project Coordinator.
The program focuses on innovative teacher training, inclusive pedagogy, e-learning, and aligned assessments. It aims to equip TVET educators and instructors with the skills to implement modern, student-centered teaching approaches. This initiative is set to transform technical and vocational education, fostering improved learning outcomes and advancing the development of the TVET sector in Bangladesh.
