International Workshop 2024

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
Technical education encompasses practical fields such as engineering, computer science, electronics, and automotive technology. Research and Development (R&D) is crucial for institutional development and innovation, but technical institutions often need more appreciation and stronger research methods. The program aims to address this issue by providing creative and simplified approaches to help stakeholders understand and apply scientific research methods. To achieve this aim, the specific objectives of this workshop are to:
1. Understand research methods and foster a research culture in technical institutions/engineering universities of the OIC member states.
2. Enhance personal knowledge of research and develop relevant research proposals for institutional development in the OIC member states.
3. Strengthen institutional capacity by improving the research and development component of technical institutions/engineering universities of the OIC member states.
KEY THEMES:
1. Identifying research problems and formulating objectives, questions, and hypothesis.
2. Writing research proposals.
3. Developing research instruments.
4. SPSS package and referencing software.
5. Writing research report.
6. Ethics in scientific research.
TARGET GROUP:
The Workshop is designed for:
1. Teachers/trainers/educators of engineering universities/technical institutes/training centers of the OIC member states.
2. Officials from government ministries/departments and private institutions of the OIC member states.
3. Individuals interested in undertaking/overseeing research projects/activities in technical/engineering education of the OIC member states.
4. Fresh graduates of technical institutes/engineering universities of the OIC member states.
NOMINATIONS:
The interested participants should fill in the prescribed registration form attached to this Brochure, which is also available at the IUT website, and email it with the approval of the respective institution authority to the Workshop Coordinator on or before 12 July 2024. The registration form may also be accessed by scanning the QR code.
VENUE AND FACILITIES:
The workshop will be held in the premises of the IUT campus at Board Bazar, Gazipur, Bangladesh. Accommodation (only for a limited number of participants) and food & refreshment may be provided at the campus. For Foreign participants, transport services between Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, and IUT will be available. Other expenses have to be borne by the participants themselves or their nominating authority.
REGISTRATION:
All participants must complete their registration online. The registration fees are as follows:
International Participant (Amount USD 200)
Facilities Included: Registration fees, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Morning & Afternoon Snacks, Accommodation (Single occupancy within University facility).
Local Participant (Amount BDT 10,000)
Facilities Included: Registration fees, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Morning & Afternoon Snacks, Accommodation (Double occupancy within University facility).
Local Participant (Amount: BDT 5,000)
