Dr Md Abdullah Al Mamun
Professor and Head of the Department
Dr Mamun completed
his BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2005 at the Islamic
University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh. After graduation, Dr Mamun
enrolled in the field of education to understand the science of
teaching-learning. In this endeavour, Dr Mamun completed his postgraduate
diploma in Technical Education in 2006 and then joined the IUT faculty.
Since then, he has been enjoying the life of an academician and researcher in
several educational institutions of Bangladesh and Australia. Dr
Mamun completed his PhD at The University of Queensland, Australia. He also
taught science subjects at IES College in the Foundation Year for the University
of Queensland, Brisbane. Understanding
the science of teaching and learning in the virtual environment has been his
particular focus in recent times. In this capacity, he is developing and
delivering online learning modules to contribute to students’ independent
learning.
Dr Mamun likes reading,
travelling, and fishing in his leisure time.
