Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain Khan completed his PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia. He has been working as a Professor of the department of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE), at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh, since 2018. He has been working (teaching and research) in TVET sectors since 2004. He was awarded Australian Leadership Award Scholarship (Australia), Graduate Research Scholarship (Brunei), Skill-Road Scholarship (Seoul University, South Korea) based on his outstanding academic results, teaching and research expertise. His research area mainly explores on two wide directions: TVET Reform & Technology education. More specifically, In TVET sector, he is researching on skills mapping, TVET pedagogy, AI , technology integration in TVET sectors & eTPD Model, TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, Content, Knowledge) Framework and TVET reforms. he has a wide experience on Artificial Intelligence, ICT-enhanced teaching and learning, Curriculum development in TVET, Professional development particularly focus on scholarship in teaching (student-centred teaching, flipped classroom pedagogy during COVID-19 & Beyond)mat national and international levels. He works as an international editorial member of many indexed journals. His research works published in the TOP RANKED ISI/SSCI indexed journals. Hence, his published journals and books chapters have already contributed internationally.Five recent achievements:(i) Invited as a global expert to the Labour 20 (L20) Expert Group as part of G20 engagement activities in 2023, contributing specialized knowledge in skills development, TVET, and future workforce readiness within the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).(ii) Leading a World Bank-funded national TVET transformation initiative — the ASSET Project (2024–2026) — aimed at upskilling TVET teachers in Advanced Pedagogy across Bangladesh to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).(iii) An internationally recognized researcher in TVET, AI in Education, and ICT-enhanced learning, with over 2,000 Google Scholar citations and an extensive portfolio of SSCI- and Scopus-indexed publications. (iv) Advancing inclusive and gender-responsive TVET by spearheading international projects that empowered women and persons with disabilities through training in digital skills, UI/UX design, computer graphics, GIP pedagogy with support from the Australian Government and other international partners.(v) Serving in influential national policy and leadership capacities, including as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (2023-2025) with contributions to national curriculum development, accreditation frameworks, and NTVQF policy formulation in Bangladesh.RESEARCH GRANT-(i) International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canadian Government selected a research grant to Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh under a consortium of four more countries Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste, for conducting a research project titled as “Students’ participation and learning achievement at secondary level during pandemic and beyond: Impact of Gender and Inclusive pedagogical approaches”. Value: $ 1176470 (Canadian Dollar); (ii) Serving as Chief Investigator of an Islamic University of Technology funded research project (2024–2026) exploring students’ ICT-enhanced learning experiences in post-pandemic TVET education to develop an industry-aligned pedagogical framework. (iii) General Directorate of Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Development of the Republic of Turkey selected me as a lead researcher for conducting a research project titled as Skills Development in the OIC Member Countries: Vocational Education. Value: US$ 68,500.00; (iv) I have been awarded as Alumni Support Grant “From Theory to Practice: Establishing a Community of Practice (COP) to support Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion” by the Australia Government from Nadia Simpson, Deputy High Commissioner- Australia High Commission Bangladesh (2022). AWARD· I have been awarded an Alumni Support Grant by the Australia Award at Australia Awards Alumni Networking event, Ballroom 1, Hotel Sheraton, 44 Kemal Ataturk Ave, Banani, Dhaka, Bangladesh, 5th March 2024.· I have been awarded The IUT Research Excellence Award 2021 for his outstanding research contribution, Award Date: 11 April 2023.· I have been awarded awarded The IUT Alumni Association Research Excellence Award 2023 for his outstanding research contribution.
