The Department of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) warmly welcomes you to the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), representing its 57 Member States.
As the oldest department of IUT and a cornerstone of its academic foundation, TVE has been the bridge between education, technology, and workforce development since its inception. Formerly known as the Department of Instructor Training and General Studies, its mandated functions were to train instructors, technicians, and tradesmen in vital technologies and trades needed across OIC Member States, as well as to upgrade mid- and lower-level manpower to international standards. Additionally, the department has consistently engaged in research to address the evolving requirements of technical and vocational education in the Islamic world.
Over the decades, the TVE Department has nurtured thousands of graduates who are now serving as educators, trainers, policymakers, and industry leaders in their home countries. Our academic and training programs are designed to blend modern pedagogical approaches with hands-on, practice-oriented learning, ensuring that our students are prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly changing global workforce.
Today, TVE continues to expand its role as a hub of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Through innovative pedagogy, international collaborations, and research-driven initiatives, we remain committed to equipping our learners with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to contribute to the socio-economic development of their nations and the broader OIC community.
We are delighted to welcome you to be part of this journey. Together, let us build a skilled, innovative, and sustainable future.
